Shhhh....The Baby's Asleep
I can't believe K is trying to run out on our self-portrait.
So anyway, V slept through the night for the first time last night! Of course I woke up at 3am freaked out that he hadn't woken up for a feeding so I had to check on him. It took everything in my power not to give him a little nudge to make sure he was okay. But if the mini-man is going to choose to sleep through the night who am I to stop him? I sort of got to sleep in this morning. Since T had to head over to Pasadena this morning he drove himself to work and dropped K off at the sitters. So I got an extra hour of sleep which is always a nice thing.
I Tivoed a couple of episodes of Chefography on the Food Network. Specifically the episodes on Ina Garten (Barefoot Contessa) and Giada De Laurentiis. The episode on Giada was awesome. She's my new favorite Food Network person. I've moved on from Rachael Ray, I think I just grew a little bored from watching her. Although I would like to check out her magazine Everyday.
Anyway, I have a couple of errands to run today, thank god they are just down the road. First is stopping by a little shop in Los Feliz to pick up a few items. I missed a birthday party a week or so ago and I'm seeing my friend and her son tomorrow so I want to give him a little something. And second I have to go to Costco for milk, eggs and baby wipes. It is so mind boggling how much milk we go through in this house and I barely consume one glass a month. If I have time I want to pop into Best Buy, which is next door to Costco, and pick up A Shark's Tale and Toy Story for the K-man.
I watched Blow Out last night. It was just "eh," I liked when the show spent a little more time with the various stylists. It seems like it's all Jonathan now. We'll see how this season progresses. Good thing Bravo also has Top Chef, which I am thoroughly enjoying! I get so envious watching people cook. They make it look so easy and effortless. The way recipes are just thrown togeter. I cook okay but it ain't so effortless for me. And to come up with a dinner menu. Oh god, don't even get me started. I stick to what I know what works and that's it. Maybe that should be my new task. To get creative in the kitchen. Come up with interesting meals and different meals so we aren't eating the same few things every couple weeks.
